
This project was created as part of an effort to creating more realistic environments to showcase. I chose to start by working with an environment that would require a high level of detail on organic shapes like the trees and vines, as well as greater attention to lighting.

One of the first things I did with this scene was to white box the environment and determine the composition of the scene. Next, I worked on adding the grass as a hair particle effect to the ground. Then I added in the textures with detailed normal maps and added the brick walls. Next was the trees and small saplings, along with the branches. The last major addition were the vines I added to the wall. After that I just added some small details like the flowers or fallen branches and made my adjustments to the scene. I was tweaking the overall lighting throughout the process.

This project took me exactly a week to create and polish. Overall, I am very happy with the final product, and plan to create more realistic environments to add to this series in the future.
