This series originally began as an idea I wanted to test but has now grown into concept art for a game that I would like to make. I had the idea to create 3D models that would act as seamless "tiles" that I could move about and change out in a quick and efficient manor.

Using this tile setup, I could make rapid changes and revisions to the scene by simply moving some tiles and replacing others. In a game, this would allow for rapid prototyping and speed up the process of level design.

I would eventually like to take this concept further and create a full game based around it. The setting would be a large, sci-fi research station built into a collection of large asteroids. It would have six major areas with varying environments. As of this time, I have created 3D concept art for two of those areas, the Thermal Core and Bio Labs.

Recently, I have taken this project into Unity and started development of early demos. The concept has undergone significant modifications from the original idea, such as a change in camera perspective and controls. You can assess the current available prototyping demo of the project via the link below.
